Camera Starter, with two outdoor cameras and a video doorbell, is $499 before HST, including the equipment, installation, setup and warranty. Larger homes or extra cameras are priced in an itemized quote after a free assessment, so you know the full cost before any work starts.
No, it's up to you. You own the cameras and can watch live and get alerts with no monthly fee. If you want to save and look back at recordings, you can add a plan from a few dollars a month, or choose cameras that store video at home with no plan. There's no contract either way.
Start with the front door and driveway, then side gates, the backyard and any door hidden from the street. Cameras should be high enough to stay out of reach but low enough to see faces clearly. We walk around your home during the free assessment and recommend spots for your layout.
Battery and solar cameras keep running through a power cut, and wired cameras with a battery backup switch over to battery. Wired cameras without a backup pause until the power comes back. Without internet, cameras can't send alerts to your phone. Premium includes WiFi backup power, and we explain how each camera handles outages before you choose.
It's up to you, and you can mix them. Battery and solar cameras need no wiring and keep working in a power cut, though battery-only models need recharging from time to time. Wired cameras are always on with nothing to charge. Wired cameras with a battery backup give you both. We recommend what suits each spot during the free assessment.
Yes, each camera needs a steady Wi-Fi signal where it's mounted. We test the signal at every spot during installation. If it's weak, we can add a mesh Wi-Fi system so cameras in the backyard or garage stay connected.
Yes. We set up the app on your phone, and on family members' phones if you like, before we leave. We show you how to watch live, check recordings and adjust alerts so you're not notified every time a car drives by.
It depends on the camera. We install cameras from 1080p Full HD up to 4K, and most outdoor, spotlight and floodlight models record in 2K. All of them have night vision, and spotlight and floodlight cameras show colour at night. Contact us and we'll recommend the right camera for each spot.
Two to four cameras and a doorbell can usually be installed in a single visit. Larger systems may take longer, and we'll give you a timeline with your quote.
